Felice Boga talks about the Warm and fluid home concept and the Habitare brand. With some curiosities related to the Kennedy dynasty
A house tailor-made for those who live in it, as if it were a tailor-made suit, capable of following the evolution and change of those who live in the space. A personal look at modern lines and simple shapes: this is the philosophy that guides the Warm and fluid home concept, born from the intuition and vision of the Boga family, at the head of Habitare: more than a company, they define it as a "boutique of projects tailoring".
THE HISTORY OF HABITARE
The history of the Boga family begins in the early 1900s, when the patriarch Felice Boga created a carpentry shop for luxury furniture in Cesano Maderno: at the time, a small artisan shop that created custom-made furniture for wealthy clients in Milan. But the carpentry business soon grew until Emilio Boga, the founder's son, joined the company in 1940. Who decides to develop the company by opening it to new influences, with particular attention to the world of art and antiques. The development of the company then continued until the birth of Habitare in 1969 and was consolidated in the 80s when the third generation of the family, namely Felice, Fausto and Cesare Boga, joined the company.

WARM AND FLUID HOME
The latest development was the Warm and fluid home concept: «We wanted to follow, with our projects, this constantly evolving world where the house becomes a mirror of change. The fluidity of events and their continuous transformation have become everyday life" explains the CEO, Felice Boga. «All this can only be reflected on living in the home, on furnishings and on the creation of projects that must be capable of accepting changes, supporting revolutions and welcoming diversity». The key concepts are those of warmth, hospitality, imagination and objects that come back to life, the tailoring of the originality of furnishings.
UNIQUE COLLECTOR'S PIECES
Projects for objects and objects for projects, explains Boga: «No longer the sofa, the table, the kitchen used with the classic function but the change in the size of the houses, the lifestyle and the working style which has led to a new approach design and the use of new materials". It is no coincidence that the Habitare showroom combines high-quality furnishing products with unique collectibles, from the Bignè dessert table (1987) to the Ri-mirror, mirror frames replicas from the 19th century (1966). Always in homage to the family's great passion for elements of extraordinary value, such as the "Tribute to J.F. Kennedy (in love)": «This chair belonged to the dynasty that characterized not only the United States on a social level but also the jet set international" explains Boga. «We found it abandoned in 1971 in an American house and then brought it back to life. The best explanation of the history of this armchair is in the fantasy of the subjective memory that each of us associates with JFK. In turn, for example, we have associated it with a gold-coated wooden swing of smaller dimensions but equally lively, as a tribute to Marilyn. An example, all of this, which fully represents the philosophy linked to Warm and fluid home."
